Derivation and maintenance of embryonic and adult multipotent stem cells

Understanding the mechanisms of stem cell renewal and commitment toward differentiation for the development of new therapeutics of :

Parkinson disease
Muscular dystrophies
Myocardium infarct
Diabetes
Arthritis, etc.

The 8th of July 2005, the University Hospital of Montpellier has obtained the authorization from the French Research Ministry to import human embryonic stem cells, and initiate a research program on these cells.
